Setting up a Charity?

Whether you are thinking of a small community organisation, setting up a new church or creating a fund for overseas aid or another exciting project, there are legal formalities to be complied with. We an help.

We have 30 years of experience of establishing charitable organisations.

Sometimes old charities need to change, update or merge with others. These are important matters for trustees and charity directors. Contact us at an early stage.

Disputes

Occasionally charities find themselves being challenged by the Charity Commission or other public body as to some aspect of activities. Talk to us before replying. Well meaning replies can often lead to more and more questions which could have been avoided if issues had been thought through early!

Trustees

Trustees are the people who control charitable funds and are responsible for compliance with the law. You can delegate your powers, but not your responsibilities. If in doubt contact us.

Children

If your organisation deals with children or vulnerable adults, you will need to have appropriate policies and procedures in place. We can help.
